I AM Not Ashamed

I can honestly say that In my lifetime I have never known of a time when the public declaration of my Christian faith was of the absolute imperative it is today. Nor have I known a time when the need to pray was more crucial and of paramount importance than it is right now.

Having been exposed to biblical teachings from a very young age, I am acutely aware of the many biblical warnings concerning the end times. One of which is the necessity to make a pubic proclamation and declaration of my faith and Christian beliefs.

"Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels." ~Mark 8:38~

I Declare and I Proclaim

I declare that I have accepted the Lord Jesus into my heart, and I believe that Jesus was crucified and died on the cross to atone for my sins. On the third day he arose from the grave, and after an additional 40 days in which he walked among and fellowshiped with his deciples, he ascended into heaven. Now I proclaim that Jesus is Lord of my life!
~Matt 16:21~,  ~Acts 1:3~,  ~Romans 10:9-10~,  ~Mark 16:19~,  ~Luke 24:51~,   ~Acts 1:9~

I Pray the Word

To ensure that I am not praying amiss, (James 4:3) and that my prayer requests line up with Gods will. I do my best to pray the Word. There is a book I frequently use to assist me with this quest, "Prayers That Avail Much" written by: Germaine Copeland. To be clear however, I'm not into simply reading prayers that someone has written as the whole of my time in prayer. Rather, at times when I'm not sure what to pray next, I have found that books such as the afore mentioned provide a tremendous help and resource.

My Prayer for August 15, 2020

Father, we know through your word that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore we put on the full armor you have provided for us Father, so that when the day of evil comes, we may be able to stand our ground, and after we have done everything, to stand – WE STAND FIRM, with the belt of truth buckled around our waists, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with our feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, we take up the shield of faith, with which we can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. We take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit which is the word of God. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, we will be alert and always keep on praying for all, and especially for our brothers and sisters in Christ everywhere in the world. ~Ephesians 6:10-18~

For this reason we kneel before you Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name. We pray that out of your glorious riches you may strengthen us with power through your Spirit in our inner beings, so that Christ may dwell in our hearts through faith. And we pray that we, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with Your holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge – that we may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.

Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us. Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen! ~Ephesians 3:14-21~

My Prayer for America

As an American and a descendant of some of the earliest American settlers that fled religious persecution from a tyrannical monarch, I am proud of my ancestry and the role they played in the development of this truly great, blessed by God almighty nation – The United States of America. Like many however, I have taken for granted the significance of what the founding of this great nation entailed and its importance to the rest of the world. America is a beacon of liberty and freedom for all. Unfortunately, there is now an attack underway attempting to change all of that.

Therefore, I pray earnestly for America, the land of the free, and the home of the brave. I pray for its leaders that they would incline their ears to the voice of God, and that God would enlighten the eyes of their understanding. I pray for a spiritual awakening to sweep over this land and for perpetual revival to become the norm throughout every state, city, town, and village. I pray for a hedge of protection around the President of the United States, Donald J. Trump as well as for the Vice President, Michael Pence.
